  1. Hi, I just found your blog and I love it!
To answer your question, I am inspired by people that against all odds manage to succeed, like a blind pianist or a painter who paints with his feet, or someone who's in a wheelchair and manages to be successful in his field. I admire the power of will and persistence. Not giving up and not giving in!!!

  2. Hey Emma

This is going to sound awfully soppy, but my husband inspires me each and everyday. He runs his own successful business and is constantly coming up with new ideas to improve and move the business forward. He loves his job and is always aiming to make his company better and the best it can be. Every night he will come home so excited about a new idea he has had and a new way to get his business name more recognisable in his industry. I have never known a person to enjoy their profession more than he does. Not only is he a great business man, he is also a fantastic husband and an amazing father to our 7 month old son. He is the reason I am now working in a profession that I am passionate about. He encouraged me to quit the rat race of the city and pick up my work as a make-up artist. I can not thank him enough.

I also get inspired by people in general. I love to people watch, you can see so much if you just open your eyes a little. Like the way a person moves, the way they flick their eyeliner slightly different to everyone else, the way their hair style is that little bit unique. Watching people gives me great ideas for my work and thankfully my son is a massive fan of people watching too!

  3. I find inspiration all over the place! My Twitter friends and fellow bloggers are always giving me confidence boosts when it comes to my makeup work and I'm beyond grateful for it! All the women I do makeup for are so amazing and I love making them look incredible - I think that might be my strongest inspiration. Seeing them change into incredible, confident women ready to strut down the street is amazing! x

  4. I have a friend called Cath. And she has been a rock when no one else understood what I was going through. She has acted like a mother to me for almost 6 years and she was my greatest support when I got married. Even now she's encourages me. She's my spiritual mom and I've learn a great many thing from her. I am eternally grateful for God bringing her into my life.

  6. Great posts so far keep them coming and so I dont feel all left out heres mine:

My father in law is my inspiration he battled with cancer for 8 months before passing away and he never moaned always smiled and was his perfect self all the way through.

He left instilled in me his regular saying "Its all in the mind" and this will stay with me forever.

  7. I know this is going to sound cheesy, and every other entry is going to say this, but for me, it really is my mother. She has done so much with her life, for so little in return. She worked, she cooked, she cleaned, she invested, she cared for her children, she scrimped and saved - and managed to look fabulous through it all. Not only is she my source of encouragement in life, she was also the woman who taught me the first things I learned about beauty! She taught me how to look fabulous without spending a lot of money, and that beauty is not about expensive products, but confidence and knowledge. And she lived what she taught. That's true inspiration.

  8. I'm inspired by those not afraid to break the mould of what is beautiful and accepted....Those that say "screw it" to mainstream style and in some ways have created a whole new style.
DIta Von Teese, Vivian Westwood, Kat Von Dee and all the wonderful alternative models out there.

  9. my mum is my inspiration. she's had 3 boys and me and we've all caused her so much pain and sorrow and worry. my oldest brother had a kid when he was 19 and his gf just 17, my 2nd oldest brother was drug addicted and disappeared when he was 18, my youngest brother is mentally handicapped and i was rebellious against everyone. and then there was my dad who was until 12 years ago an alcoholic and musician (no or just irregular income) who then had a love-affair after 37 years of marriage.

she is now 61 and wears size 6-8 and is absolutely stunningly beautiful and i can only hope to look as good as she does when i hit her age. if i looked half as good i would be over the moon :) she's a powerhouse and wows me everyday by her grace and strength and neverending love and understanding <3

  10. So many touching stories! This world is truly made of beautiful souls!
I have so many aspiration around me but lately my inspiration has been my husband. He is such a beautiful person and is trying and working very very hard to achieve his dreams. He has never let anyone tell him what to do or how to lead his life. I'm the one who worries all the time and he's the positive one. Always looking on the brighter side and even if things are hard and complicated he'll always keep his head high, make and joke and then move on.
His determination to achieve what he sets to do can't be shaken; he chased me for a whole year and the first time we met he said he would marry me one day, I just though the guy was crazy lol.
So yeah I'm totally in love with that man who is the light in my life and who never let things get to him.
As he always says life's a journey and lets make it as pleasant as we can!
