Review: Move From Brows To Face With HD Brows Blusher and Bronzer!

A little while ago HD Brows released a small line of makeup that don't focus on the brows at all, yes that's right they have launched Foundation, Blusher and Bronzer to go with their already cult Eyebrow products.

I received the Bronzer Number 2* and Blusher Number 2* about a month ago now and have been playing with them both pretty much on a daily basis and on one photoshoot and now I am ready to tell you what I think.
Both products are highly pigmented with a slight shimmer, a little of both of these really goes a long way. The Bronzer is especially pigmented so, if you are fair like me be very light handed. Unlike a lot of Bronzers this one doesn't have an orange payoff which I love especially due to the fairness of my skin, as I mentioned before, although, I don't think anyone wants to look like they have been rolling around in a bag of wotsits these days or am I wrong?
As for the Blusher i would say its a very deep berry pink, it reminds me of raspberry smoothies, which is shot through with some gold. I would say with this Blush stay away from Highlighter because it will be too much you just don't need to add that into the mix. I use this very lightly on my skin and it gives me that healthy flushed cheek and makes my pale skin look alive. I really cant wait to use this Blush on a woman of colour because I think it would look spectacular!

The Packaging, as you can see from the pictures, is rather nifty they have a plastic protective cover that you open to get to the product and whilst closed its the home for the latex sponge applicator that comes with both products, you also have a good sized mirror. I have to admit that for me my only gripe was the latex sponge, I would never apply either product with a sponge nor with a little blush brush but, I do think that would have been more fitting for both of these products.

At the moment there are only one shade of each product but HD Brows are correct when they say that these two products will suit any skin tone and are completely buildable. The swatches are one full swipe they can be sheered down and built up.

Both products feature in tomorrows FOTD so, you can see just how they look on :)

Would I replace both items when they hit pan? 100% Yes

Would I purchase other colours? Yes if they added to the collection I would most certainly buy them for my kit and for my own personal use.
Would I use them on a model for a shoot? I have already and they worked fantastically on camera, provided there are some decent headshots I will share these when I get them back.

Overall I am completely in love with both products, I would love to see a matte Bronzer as I personally feel matte works much better for contouring but, as an out and out Bronzer its amazing. As for the Blushers I do agree like i said earlier that this will suit all skin tones but I would love to see what other shades they could create.

You can purchase both products here The Bronzer Number 2 is £19.95 and The Blusher Number 2 is £17.95. The brand have also added a Foundation and a Brush collection which also look pretty amazing.

Have you tried the new items from HD Brows? what did you think?

Festival Fashion by The Mallzee Team

Hey My Beauties,

Earlier in the week I introduced you to Mallzee and the team behind the new virtual mall, when I had my Q & A with them I asked them to each pick an item that they feel would be perfect for the festival season and here's what they had to say:

The ultimate festival look- although it’s completely nonsensical to wear white leather boots to a festival, we cant help but think this pair will only look better once scruffed up a bit. Following Selfridge’s #denimlovers party, we’re loving anything jean based at the moment- this dungarees dress is perfect for combining both festival comfort and style. The loose Breton top is a multi-tasking lifesaver and can easily be thrown on with jeans for day two. We’ve put a gorgeous cuff in there, too- minimal but perfect, it will add an extra element to your look. Shrug the leather jacket over your shoulders to keep the rain off and you’re good to go!

Leather Jacket £165 from Urban Outfitters
Striped T-shirt £17.50 from French Connection (usually £35 but it's currently on sale)
Denim Dungaree Dress £40 from ASOS
Jeffrey Campbell Lindi Boots £198 from Free People
Bear Head Cuff Bracelet £198 from Free People

I think they picked some great pieces although I am not sure I would be walking around with those beautiful boots and cuff on at a festival.

What do you think of their picks? would you like any of the items above let me know and don't forget you can get a VIP account with Mallzee when you sign up via this link which is only available to my readers at the moment.

Until next time lots of love

Introducing Mallzee: All Of Your Favourite Shops In One Virtual Mall!

Mallzee are a brand new online mall which bring all of your favourite brands together under the one roof, so to speak, You will find the likes of ASOS, Burtons, Urban Outfitters, Forever 21 and many more top brand fashion stores. You can build up your own personal wardrobe from all of the shops saving the items in one place until you are ready to place your order.

This UK based company give you the oportunity to earn mallzee money each time you spend through them, this money can be used as store credits, against exclusive offers and other stuff.

Enough of my introduction I had the chance to chat with the Mallzee team and ask them a few questions so, to learn more about the company and those behind it carry on reading

1. Who are the people behind Mallzee and tell us a little about yourselves?

Cally: CEO
Cally is the mastermind behind Mallzee. A keen entrepreneur at only 25 years old, Cally has a background in PR and has worked for one of the worlds biggest PR companies. He claims he's not yet a full fashionista but we're always catching him reading fashion blogs on his lunch break!

Callum: COO
Callum provides the bridge between the business and technical aspects of Mallzee, having previously ran an award winning business. He's a bit of a daredevil, riding motocross in his spare time, and is forever coming into the office with bumps and bruises! Callum always packs a punch and knows how to get his head down and work but we all know he's a big softie at heart!

Jamie: Head of Product
Jamie is a genius of all things code. He's been known to whip up amazing apps in a matter of hours and while the rest of the team stare in amazement at the creation, Jamie humbly tells us it's 'no big deal'. On top of this he's also the office sweetheart/tea addict and is loved by all.

Laura: International Engagement Officer
Laura is a fashion business graduate and has interned at magazines and PR companies in London before joining Mallzee at the very start as an intern. Laura has been known to be attached to her laptop 24/7 and is forever hunting for the best blogs out there. She's obsessed with all things fashion and has an unhealthy fascination with handbags, and dogs!

Rachel: Head of Content
Rachel is also a fashion graduate and has had experience interning at top fashion magazines in London. She joined Mallzee as an intern then came on board as Head of Content thanks to her fab ways with words. Rachel is a self confessed drama queen, gets very excited about reduced cakes in Tesco and is a keen skateboarder who has been known to tweet Tony Hawk on occasion!

Alex: Designer
Alex graduated from a top art school and specialises in product design and branding. She's had experience designing for fashion brands and has designed some incredible concepts and products that would blow your mind! She claims not to be a fashionista but she's always strolling into the office looking super stylish and freaks out at thought of a moth eating her clothes!

David: CTO
Mallzee's technical wizard- David has over 25 years experience in the industry and is a total expert at what he does. David is responsible for Mallzee's technical side, the side that makes Mallzee smart and shows you things that suit your tastes. Somewhat of a dark horse, our roving techy is known his love of salted liquorish (we know- it sounds awful!)

Our Amazing Interns: Johnny, Mhairi, Mandy, Caroline, Amanda.
We may be biased but we think we've got the best interns around. The Mallzee interns are a huge part of what we do and they're such an important part of our team and do WAY more than make the tea, in fact, we actually make tea for them!

2. What was the inspiration behind Mallzee?
Mallzee was created out of the realisation that online shopping was getting boring. People want more than just clicking and buying. We don't think shopping online should be a chore, we want people to have fun when they shop online and be able to chat to their friends and see things that suit their tastes rather than scrolling through pages and pages.

3. What makes Mallzee unique from other shopping sites?
Mallzee is unique as it is designed just for you. With Mallzee, you can shop all your favourites in one place, your very own online mall, and see things that are specially selected for your taste. We think shopping should be social and that's why we let you chat to and shop with friends in real time. We also reward you for shopping with us by paying you Mallzee Dollars, getting paid to shop- amazing right?

4. If you could each pick one brand that you deal with as a favourite which brand would that be and why?
Cally- ASOS because they do some really cool menswear
Callum- Burton because they've got a good range
Jamie- Topman because they've always got good deals on shirts!
Laura- Urban Outfitters because they sell some really cool brands that you can't get many other places
Rachel- Free People is a new favourite of Rachel's that she discovered through Mallzee. She loves the grungy, battered look their pieces have and that you can buy them with that cool look without needing to scruff it up yourself.
Alex- Karen Millen because the quality of their fabric is amazing! She really likes their edgier pieces.
David- Burton because it's not too fussy
Johnny- Urban Outfitters too because they offer a wide selection for men which is quite rare and they use lots of colour

5. What is your staple fashion piece?

Cally- A crisp white shirt because I never know when I'm going to have to run out to a meeting!
Callum- A graphic tee- simple yet stylish
Jamie- A checked shirt and occasionally a baseball cap!
Laura-  A statement necklace because it can totally change up any outfit
Rachel- Jeans & a T-shirt because you can dress them up or dress them down!
Alex- Scarfs- you can wear them with everything!
David- You can't go wrong with a good pair of jeans!
Johnny- Double denim!

Mallzee are giving all of my readers the chance to have VIP accounts for free by signing up following this link:  http://mallzee.com/Account/Register its free so, what is there to lose?
On Thursday the Mallzee Team will be showing you what their top fashion picks are for the Festival season so, come and have a read when that goes live :)

Review Part 1: It's All About Moxie!

If you haven't already heard Bare Minerals have brought out a new Lip collection called Marvelous Moxie Lips. Moxie is a collection of Lipsticks, Lip Liners and Glosses. Over the next few days I will be bringing you pictures, swatches and my views of this collection

First of all lets talk about the Lipsticks!

I have a two of the Lipsticks in shades Never Say Never* which is a bright Fuchsia Pink and Be Free* which is a creamy pink nude. These lipsticks are beautiful they are creamy, opaque and don't feel heavy on the lips at all.

What is so great about these lipsticks is that they are extremely long lasting I managed to get away with 4 hours without needing to have a touch up. The other plus for me is that they don't dry out the lips because of the conditioning ingredients which are as follows: The formula includes Abyssinian Oil, Omega Fatty Acids and Vitamins A, C and E.

The packaging is very luxurious and with its unique design there is no chance of the lid coming off in your handbag which I think is great.

Would I purchase other colours? Yes I would, I would actually like to get some of the reds and some more of the nudes from this collection.

Would I use them on a model for a shoot? Yes I would due to the Opacity of the product and the longevity they would be amazing.

The Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lip Collection is in stores nationwide and on their website and comes in 18 different shades including some amazing Red shades and a super amazing Tangerine shade for all you darker skin tones, plus Tangerine is bang on trend. The Lipsticks from this collection are retailing at £16.00.

Have you tried this collection? Let me know what you thought in the comments.

Off Topic: Boys!

The Husband and I (Don't you love his crown?)
This last week has seen skeletons come out of the closet and huge regrets form!

I have a friend who I liked from a far for a while and when he was briefly single last year it became apparent he liked me too however, at the time I was firmly hung up on Mr Thomas and he was still pretty hung up on his ex so, nothing happened.

We both went about our lives he got back with his ex and I focused more on Tom to try and bury what feelings I had for this guy and didn't speak to him for a few months to make it easier on myself. It transpires after a drunken conversation (him being the drunk one) that in his words: "I would happily been yours" I responded saying he would have always gone back to his ex and that he would never have been mine and he responded with "No I wouldn't have had I not thought Tom would own you quite so much" :(

Its unleashed a whole word of regret and pain to think I've been single 3 years and the one guy I really and truly had feelings for would have been mine if I hadn't shut the feelings out and focused on Tom! Ive been over Tom for quite sometime but he is very much a part of my life being my best friend and the one I turn too when anything is wrong. To an outsider Tom and I seem very much like a married couple but its purely Platonic.

I'm not sure what I want out of posting this I suppose its just one of those need to air it to outsiders but, I totally hate feeling regret and having old feelings resurface when I cant do anything to change them. I have since been told that if he is ever single he would love to give it a shot but, that makes me feel 100 times  worse.

Guys say that us girls are mental but, I think they have just as many issues as we do if not more sometimes!

Anyway sorry for this unrelated blurb!

Review: Revlon Nearly Naked

Hey My Beautifuls,

Prior to my short break dealing with family stuff I started using Revlon's new Nearly Naked Foundation and Powder*. I have been using it for around 2 months as my everyday foundation and I Love it.

I apply the foundation using my Kabuki style foundation brush and I buff it into my skin, leaving a very natural and even looking complexion. I would say that this foundation is a demi-matte with medium coverage but, its most definitely buildable. If you have large pores like myself a primer is needed.
Excuse the brows I am growing them back whilst I have a full fringe
Onto the powder, this is a very light powder which doesn't make your skin feel cakey at all. I use the powder as a very light contour as the medium shade is too dark for me. This powder would be perfect for those days that your skin is behaving but you just feel you need a very light wash of colour.

I have very dry skin as some of you already know but this foundation does not dry my skin out at all.

I am using Ivory in the liquid foundation and Medium in the powder. Revlon's Nearly Naked Range is available at most leading beauty stores, The foundation is £8.99 and the powder is £7.99.

I would go as far as saying this is a replacement for my Sephora Tinted Moisturiser as its moisturising enough and gives me just the right amount of coverage. I want to see how this foundation deals with the rising temperatures so, I may come back with an update.

Have any of you tried this new range, what did you think?

Get Those Summer Feet!

Hi My Beauties,

Summer is (hopefully) on its way and time to break out those filp flops and sandals, If you are anything like me and suffer with dry skin this time of year can be a right pain. I am gonna give you some tips that I follow to reduce the dryness on my feet and keep them as soft as I can.

1. Have a lovely bath or foot spa, I always opt for a bubble bath my current favourite is Imperial Leather Jasmine Spa (£1.59) I soak in the bath with some tunes for at least 30 minutes.

2. Once out of the bath I use a ped egg (£9.99) all over the bottoms of my feet where i get the most dry, I always use the ped egg whilst my feet are still wet as this aids with the dry skin coming off.

3. I cover my feet with a thick layer of Ahava Dermud Intensive foot cream* (£18.00) or Scholl Dry Skin Instant Recovery Cream (£4.99) (Full review coming soon) all over my feet and then put on some thick socks.

4. I leave the socks on over night so that my feet absorb the cream leaving them lovely and soft.

5. I choose a nail polish and make my nails look pretty, in my case the skin around the nails gets made pretty too cause I'm awful at painting nails. I am currently sporting Illamasqua Scorch (£14.50)

5. To keep my feet soft and free from dryness I apply a thin coat of the favoured foot cream all over my feet daily.

There you have it my 5 steps to soft and silky feet which takes no time at all and its a great way to pamper yourself :)

If you have any other tips leave them in the comments as I am sure we would all love to hear them

Disclaimer: I am a member of Bzzagent.co.uk and they supplied me with the Scholl foot cream  to try, anyone can become a Bzzagent and get the opportunity to try out new products check out their website for more info :)

Review - Tints of Nature Organic Hair Dye

Hey Lovelies,

Back at the beginning of March the lovely ladies at Tints of Nature sent some dye for my Mum to use and review for this blog. Normally I would review all products but seeing as I have bright red hair this product wouldn't have been suitable for me but, it was such an exciting product that I didn't want you to miss out on hearing about it.

Tints of Nature are Organic Hair Dyes suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians better still they are a UK brand and all of their products are made here. As the products are made used natural products you are less likely to get a stained scalp, have an allergic reaction and breath in those horrible peroxide smells.

When you first get the product it looks like any other dye until you start applying it, instead of it smelling like awful peroxide it actually smells a lot like whiskey and orange juice. Mum has used lots of different branded dyes from top brands such as Garnier to Superdrug own branded dyes so she knows what she likes.

We used a mix of  8C Ash Blonde* to mix with 8N Natural Light Blonde* (N shades are always advisable mixed with the fashion colours for grey hair to ensure maximum grey coverage/best colour outcome) and left it on for 30 mins. Once the dye had been washed out it was clear to see there were no stains on the skin and the dye had taken all over even on the stubborn dark grey at the back of mums head.

Mum was so thrilled with her new colour and received so many compliments the following day at work which made her feel great. Mum also said that the product didn't make her head itch like most of the others as she has a very sensitive and dry scalp.

Mum and I agreed on the one downside which was the packaging, we both felt the packaging looked quite dated with some of the models looking as though they were wearing wigs but, the product itself is simply amazing and mum is sold on the colour and will definitely be buying the colours again.

Tints of Nature dyes can be purchased from their website for £8.99 where they also stock Semi-Permanent dyes, Highlighting kits, Shampoo, Conditioner, Treatments and Supplements. I would love to try some of their shampoo at some stage as I am always on the hunt for a great shampoo.

The Duchess of Cambridge Kate is a huge fan of Tints of Nature so, if its good enough for royalty its good enough for us!

Have you tried this brand? Would you try the brand?

Two Funerals, A Birthday and a Head Injury.... Its been so long!

Well Hello My Gorgeous Readers,

It has been a fair few months since I have sat down to write to you and lots has happened some which you can guess from the post title.

Granny and her husband Stan
I started the year losing my ex's Gran she lost her battle with Lung Cancer and passed away on January 6th. I had a lot of respect and love for Granny she had been in my life since I was 16 so, It was a very hard saying goodbye and even harder seeing my in laws for the first time in 2 years. Thankfully my amazing best Friend Tom was there to hold my hand, wipe away my tears and cuddle me, I don't think I could have got through that without him.

I got a little wrapped up in family at that point as I am sure you can understand and when I was ready to come back and start bringing you reviews, looks and even videos I lost my Uncle Kevin and my world fell apart a bit. Uncle Kevin was my favourite Uncle I had an awful lot of love for him for things he had done for me throughout my younger years and I always used to stay with him, his wife and my two cousins when I was younger. The hardest thing about this situation was that my Dad and Uncle Kev weren't on speaking terms so, the lead up to his passing was very difficult having to see how distraught my Dad was especially when he thought that he may not get to make peace with him as Uncle Kev was unconscious.
Uncle Kevin and Olly his Grandson

Thankfully Kev did regain consciousness for a few days and even though we are not sure if he knew who we were Dad did get to speak to him before he finally lost his battle with Lung and Bone Cancer on 2nd March. I have never witnessed a funeral with so many people in attendance over 200 people came to show their respects and again Tom was there to drive me and my sister there and then to cuddle me afterwards.

My Awesome Cake :)
Then came my 31st, yes I am a year older as of 19th April! My birthday weekend certainly started and ended with a bang (literally) My Tom made me an amazing cake covered in hearts and skulls. On the Saturday we all went out drinking and dancing whilst Tom took some hilarious pictures and Sarah took a hilarious video which is below. I ended my night being a drunken idiot and falling over and whacking my head on the pavement queue the tears!

I thought everything was OK until I got to Monday and I was still rather spaced out, I checked my symptoms on NHS Direct and it said call an ambulance which I though was a bit drastic so, I called the non urgent number and indeed it ended with an ambulance being called for me. I arrived at hospital had an intial examination by a nurse and then a thorough one by a doctor, It was determined there was no bleed on the brain just concussion and a bit of whiplash. I wasn't allowed to be on my own for a further 24 hours so, Tom insisted he look after me and that he did :)

Its been a week since the accident and I'm still suffering with headaches but I don't feel spaced out anymore which is great.

I would like to take this time to thank the brands and people I was working with prior to my hiatus for being so understanding and for all the love my friends and readers have given me during these difficult months. I feel ready to start focusing on the blog again and I hope you will all enjoy reading it again.

I will leave you with some pictures from my birthday which I hope you will find as funny as we did :)

Much Love
